It is By His Grace Fundraising Tee

This past May I was so excited to see so many of my friends’ kids graduate from high school.  Caleb, my former children’s Church student,  was one of those graduates. An avid athlete, Caleb had dreams of pursuing baseball professionally. He had committed to college and was eager to begin the next chapter. Little did we know a few short weeks after graduation, Caleb would be in a life changing accident. On June 9th, Caleb suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury that left him unable to speak or walk at this time. After 5 months, he was released from the hospital but still requires around the clock care. His parents have faithfully cared for Caleb.  In order to continue to support his improvements, Caleb will need to be transported to rehabilitation appointments 2-3 per week. However, because he has yet to regain head or muscle control, Caleb can only be transported in a medically equipped vehicle. Herein lies the problem, Caleb’s parents desperately need a special vehicle for him. 

Caleb’s mom is a woman of incredible faith. Her unwavering faith is beyond inspirational. When I asked her the scripture she leans on to stay grounded, she shared the scripture,  “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
